What It Is
Themed Photo Sets and Action Shots is a category of built-environment and green-screen photo activations. Where a standard photo booth gives guests a backdrop and a timer, these setups give guests a scene to inhabit: a physical environment they step into, or a composite image that places them inside a dynamic action moment.
The lineup rotates based on availability and event type. Current options include:
Ball Pit: A fully styled adult ball pit with hundreds of balls, coordinated prop decor, and a professional photographer working the setup. Guests wade in, toss balls, and pose for a real print. The setup scales from intimate to full event activation depending on footprint.
Crinkle Foil Backdrop: Metallic foil walls in silver or gold that catch and scatter every color of light in the room. Uplight with your event colors and the foil transforms the backdrop completely. Works as a stills setup, a GIF station, or alongside a standard open-air booth camera rig.
Ski Lift Bench: A replica ski lift chair mounted against a floor-to-ceiling alpine print. Guests sit on the bench with ski poles and goggles, photographer captures the shot, and the final image looks like they are riding up the mountain at a real resort. Popular at winter events and bar mitzvah sports themes.
Endless Hearts Wall: A large-format layered heart installation with an infinite-depth visual effect. The nested heart frames draw the eye inward and create a distinct, shareable photo moment. Works equally well at mitzvahs, galas, and sweet 16s.
Jump Shot Composites: A green-screen station that photographs guests mid-jump and composites them into a curated library of dynamic outdoor scenes: over the ocean cliff, rising out of a fishbowl, soaring above a mountain range, or facing down a great white shark. The image is composited on-site and delivered as a print and via text.
Slam Dunk Station: A green-screen setup that captures guests mid-air with a basketball prop and superimposes the shot onto an urban basketball court or arena background. Custom backgrounds can be configured to match a sports theme for a bar or bat mitzvah. Note: this variant does not use any specific pro-team branding. The court and crowd scenes are generic or event-custom only.
Locker Room Experience: A custom-built locker room set designed around the honoree or event theme. Jerseys, helmets, floor graphics, and wall panels are all custom-printed to your event specs. Guests step into the locker stall, pose with the props, and walk away with a photo that looks like a real athletic scene. This variant is built to order and requires additional lead time.
Where It Works
These sets work anywhere with floor space for the footprint. Themed sets generally require a 10x10 to 12x12 area. Jump shot and slam dunk stations need at least 8 feet of ceiling clearance for the bounce platform.
How Long It Runs
Most themed set activations run 2 to 4 hours as a cocktail-hour or reception accent. Ball pit setups typically run during the main reception window when guest energy is highest. Crinkle foil stations are often positioned during cocktail hour and left up for the full event since they require no attendant beyond setup.
Jump shot and slam dunk stations require a dedicated attendant and mini-trampoline, and typically run in 90-minute to 3-hour windows. The locker room experience is a built environment that stays up for the full event and does not require a dedicated attendant once guests understand how it works.

Full Set Build and Strike
Every themed set is delivered on a truck, assembled by our crew before guests arrive, and fully removed at the end of the night. You do not coordinate a prop rental or a separate photographer.
Professional Photographer or Camera Rig
Ball pit, ski lift, and hearts wall activations include a dedicated on-site photographer. Jump shot and slam dunk stations run with an attendant who manages the camera, the trampoline timing, and the composite output.
Instant Print Station
Every image prints on-site as a branded keepsake. Print format, paper size, and event branding configured at booking.
Digital Text Delivery
High-resolution images texted directly to guests within seconds of the shot. No app, no kiosk queue. The delivery link carries your event branding.
Event-Branded Overlays
Event name, date, and monogram applied to every print and digital output. The custom locker room and slam dunk variants include full custom print production on all set surfaces.
Props and Accessories

Common questions about booking themed sets and action stations for your event.
Can we pick more than one themed set for the same event?
Yes, and many clients do. A ball pit and a crinkle foil station occupy different footprints and serve different moments in the event flow. The ball pit tends to draw energy during peak reception windows while the foil backdrop works well as a cocktail-hour destination. We will map the floor plan and confirm placement.
Does the jump shot station require guests to actually jump high?
No. The station uses a small professional mini-trampoline that requires minimal effort, a slight bounce is enough to get the shot. Our attendant cues the camera to fire at the peak of the bounce, so the composite image looks dramatic even when the actual jump is small. Kids and adults both use it comfortably.
Can the locker room experience be built around any sport or theme?
Any sport and any color scheme. We produce all the panels, jerseys, floor graphics, and wall prints in-house based on the specs you supply. Popular setups include baseball, basketball, football, soccer, and hockey themes, but the build is not limited to sports. We have done music studio, racing pit, and military themes for bar and bat mitzvahs. The custom print production adds lead time, typically 2 to 3 weeks from art approval to delivery.
How much space does the ball pit require?
The standard ball pit setup is 10 feet by 10 feet and needs roughly 9 feet of ceiling clearance for the truss rigging and lighting overhead. We also configure a smaller 8x8 footprint for tighter venues. The photographer working the setup needs an additional 6 to 8 feet of standing room in front.
Do these setups work outdoors?
Most do, with some conditions. Crinkle foil and hearts wall setups need a covered area or a tent because wind disrupts both setups significantly. Ball pits and ski lift benches are stable outdoors under cover. Jump shot and slam dunk stations require a level surface and wind-free zone for the camera rig. We confirm outdoor feasibility at site review.
