Shiran Nicholson founded Nicholson Events in 1994 with one DJ booth, a microphone, and an ear for what makes a room move. Growing up between New York, the Mediterranean, and Paris gave him a feel for world-class hospitality that still shapes every event the company produces.

More than three decades later, that founder instinct runs through everything. Shiran built a team of seasoned DJs, MCs, dancers, and specialty performers around it, professionals who treat every celebration like a show worth designing from the first note to the last.

DJs, bands, dancers, and specialty acts. Sound, lighting, LED walls, staging, custom dance floors, photo experiences, and the crew running all of it. Every piece is in-house and hand-picked, so the quality stays consistent and the night runs without anyone in the room having to think about it.

We do not just produce events, we host them. The Knowlton is our own premier waterfront venue in Fairfield County, Connecticut, with galleries, a boathouse, and grounds built for weddings, galas, and celebrations of every kind.

Owning our own room means we know exactly what a space can do, because we have built it, lit it, and packed the dance floor ourselves, hundreds of times over.
