01 / Photo Experience

SketchBot

An AI reads your photo. A robotic arm draws it by hand, in real time, on a card you take home. Part performance, part portrait, part keepsake. The only photo experience at your event that produces a physical original.

What It Is

SketchBot is where artificial intelligence meets real ink. A guest steps into the booth, a high-quality photo is taken, and the AI processes it into a styled portrait. A precision robotic arm then picks up a Sharpie and draws that portrait, line by line, on a physical 4x6 card in front of the guest and everyone watching. When it is done, the guest takes the card home.

The drawing process takes 3 to 5 minutes, which means the robot itself becomes a performance that draws a crowd. Guests waiting in line are already entertained watching the arm work. The result is not just a photo activation, it is a showpiece that holds attention all night and sends guests home with something genuinely unique.

Custom backdrop options let you theme each portrait to the event: sports scenes, formal settings, event motifs, or fully branded environments. Multiple robotic units can run simultaneously for larger guest counts or high-volume corporate activations.

Where It Works

SketchBot excels at events where individual keepsakes matter and the live performance of watching the robot draw amplifies the room. Bar and bat mitzvahs get the most from it because every single guest leaves with a personalized physical artifact. Corporate activations use it as an anchor experience that keeps attendees at the station across a multi-hour program.

How Long It Runs

SketchBot typically runs for 2 to 4 hours, positioned during cocktail hour and the first half of the reception when guest energy and curiosity are highest. Because each portrait takes 3 to 5 minutes to draw, the experience works best for events with 80 to 200 guests where throughput and line length stay manageable. For larger events, we add units to match the guest count. Full-day and multi-station configurations are available for corporate activations and brand events.

What's Included

From the AI portrait processing to the robot arm to the finished keepsake card, everything is handled by our team.

01

Live Robot Drawing Performance

A precision robotic arm draws each portrait in real time, creating a crowd-gathering performance that guests watch as much as they participate in.

02

AI-Styled Digital Portrait

The AI processes each guest photo before the robot draws, applying custom styling, themed backdrops, sports scenes, or branded treatments.

03

Physical 4x6 Keepsake Card

Each guest leaves with a hand-drawn physical card. No other photo activation at the event produces a physical original they take home.

04

Digital Delivery via Text

The AI-styled digital portrait is texted to the guest immediately after their session, ready to share directly from their camera roll.

05

Custom Backdrop and Branding

Sports uniforms, event logos, monograms, and thematic scene overlays are built during planning and applied automatically to every portrait.

06

On-Site Attendant

A dedicated attendant manages the guest queue, handles setup, explains the process to each guest, and keeps the experience running smoothly for the full event.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about adding SketchBot to your event.

How long does each SketchBot drawing take?

The robotic arm typically completes a full portrait in 3 to 5 minutes per guest. The attendant manages the queue and keeps the flow smooth. Guests watching from the line are part of the performance, which makes even the wait an engaging experience.

What does the guest walk away with?

Each guest receives two things: a physical 4x6 card with their robot-drawn portrait, and a digital version of the AI-styled image delivered via text. The physical card is a one-of-a-kind keepsake that nothing else at the event can replicate.

Can we customize the backdrop or styling theme?

Yes. Guests can be placed into custom branded backdrops, sports scenes, formal event settings, or thematic overlays. The AI applies the styling before the robot draws. All custom templates are designed during the planning process at no extra charge.

How much space does SketchBot need?

A single unit requires approximately a 6x6 foot footprint for the booth and robotic arm, plus space for a small guest queue. Multi-unit setups require additional space. Our team confirms the exact configuration during venue walkthrough.

Is it a good fit for a bar or bat mitzvah?

SketchBot is one of the strongest bar and bat mitzvah activations we offer. Every guest, from the youngest cousin to the grandparents, gets a personalized physical keepsake. The live robot performance creates a focal point that drives energy throughout the event. It pairs especially well with a photo mosaic or PhotoSpot for comprehensive photo coverage.

Can SketchBot handle large events?

Yes. For events over 200 guests, we deploy multiple robotic units running simultaneously to keep wait times short. Corporate activations regularly run 3 to 6 units for high-volume throughput at conferences and brand events.
