Beat the Noise Ordinance With a Silent Party

Strict noise rules in the Hamptons and Fairfield County can shut a party down by ten. A silent party keeps the night alive long after curfew.

Plenty of towns enforce strict noise ordinances, and the Hamptons and Fairfield County are among the strictest. In some areas, amplified music cannot carry past ten o’clock. At one of our black-tie events in East Hampton, accompanied by deliberately mellow music, our DJ was warned the night could end in an arrest if the sound did not stop. So we built a better answer, the silent party, an event that can keep going well past curfew.

What is a silent party?

It is not actually silent. Ambient music keeps a gentle vibe in the room, and every guest gets a set of comfortable wireless headphones that tune into as many as three live channels, each at the volume they prefer. Picture it: nine in the evening, dessert and headphones come around, the sun finally drops, the light show comes alive, and the DJ announces the party is moving to the headphones. The beat drops, and the floor fills.

Multiple channels, more energy

Run several streams at once and the night gets even better. One DJ spins house while another plays classic disco, and a third channel runs hip hop, so every guest dances to the music that moves them. The format is flexible enough for battling DJs, a single club set, or a themed lineup, and the possibilities are effectively endless.

Why guests love it

  • No sound carries to the neighbors, even after a noise ordinance kicks in
  • Nothing to prompt a call to the police about your event
  • No complaints about volume, so you actually enjoy the night
  • No early ending and no regrets that the party had to stop
  • Guests choose the channel they like, or step out of the music entirely to talk

We bring silent parties to the Hamptons, Connecticut, Westchester, and New York City. To keep your night going past curfew, start with our DJ and entertainment team.
